Bone Graft
lost bone restoration
Bone grafting is necessary when bone width or height is inadequate for receiving an implant. The success of dental implant and its ability to support a dental restoration is very much depends upon how much bone is available in the site where the implant is placed.
Bone grafting is a surgical procedure which allows to restore bone which has been lost with natural or synthetic substitute. There are many surgical modalities, and the choice of one over another depends upon the condition.
Depending upon the case, bone grafts may be placed at the time of implant placement or 4-6 months prior to implantation.
